Resident of the Month

The House Staff Organization, in conjunction with the Graduate Medical Education Office and Missouri Physician Placement Service, will recognize one resident who sets the standard for patient-centered care, scholarship, and professionalism among his or her peers. The Resident of the Month Award is intended to reward house staff who excel in the core competencies common to all training prgrams. Along with the appreciation of their peers, the Resident of the Month also wins a $50 gift certificate to University Book Store courtesy of Missouri Physician Placement Service in the MU AHEC office. Residents are nominated monthly by Program Directors and Chief Residents. If you know of a colleague who you think exemplifies the qualities of a resident physician, please let them know.

The Missouri BNDD (Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs) recently alerted practitioners that under current law pharmacies CANNOT alter anything on a Schedule II prescription. So, if a Schedule II prescription must be amended in any way it must be returned to the prescriber to be amended.
